In this role you will be a key part of the remote services team in driving customer success.

The Remote Services Consultant will be responsible for assisting and mentoring customers in all aspects of the K2 platform. They will be responsible for working with customers remotely on a daily basis through a variety of issues.  The Remote Services Consultant may be expected to also work in architecting, installing, and configuring the K2 platform in customer environments that range from simple single server installations to distributed environments. They will also be trained and expected to conduct technical on-boarding for new Cloud customers as part of the new Remote Services offerings and deliver on technical workshops that form part of focused coaching services for either K2 development or K2 infrastructure administration.

Objectives and Tasks

  • Assist and/or mentor K2 customers in a variety of potential areas. Planning, requirements-gathering, designing, scoping, estimating, developing, installing, testing and deploying business process automation projects
  • Assisting customers who have a need for assistance in custom code using the K2 platform API by providing guidance and or sample code
  • Work on ensuring that the broader K2 team have the level of insight into the work being done with customers
  • Provide remote technical consulting that support K2's products and systems to ensure customers are able to successfully deploy the platform and related components into their desired environments
  • Candidate must be able to provide guidance on how to build/structure/deploy low to high complexity solutions based upon K2 products
  • Candidate will be responsible for maintaining a professional level of documentation surrounding their consulting activities and deliver complete and comprehensive reports to this end
  • Candidate will conduct independent technical research using company supplied research tools, databases, knowledge bases, etc., in order to find solutions to meet customer requirements and or troubleshoot presented problems/issues
  • Candidate will be expected to contribute to a library of internal and customer-facing technical content
  • Candidate will be expected to engage all levels of customers and partners in technical conversations that are in support of the K2 platform, either in a potential pre-sales capacity or in that of post sales implementation or other re-configurations, migrations, moves etc.
  • Quickly research and learn third-party products for which K2 does not have built-in integration and determine feasibility and/or implementation details for integrating said products with K2

Required Skills

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience and solid understanding of the overall .NET platform and both depth and breadth across the Microsoft product Stack
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience and an understanding of general network infrastructure terms, concepts, and operations
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience developing application on K2.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background check

A minimum of 2 years’ experience  with one or more of the following technologies (more is a plus):

  • software design
  • development
  • implementation and testing or QA
  • data architecture
  • SharePoint and .NET development, including use of C#, ASP.NET and /or WCF
  • software design and application development, including complete software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • SharePoint in 2010, 2013, 2016, 0365 versions
  • SQL Server in recent versions
  • General system integration methodologies
  • Business Process Workflow (BPM) analysis, design and implementation
  • Internet Information Server (IIS);
  • Web Services in any flavor
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Identity Management
  • Azure Infrastructure

Other Desired Skills

  • Troubleshooting (Candidate must be comfortable in situations that require quick research, analysis and diagnosis of a variety of problems)
  • Creative problem solving and methodical troubleshooting skills
  • .NET development skills
  • Understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Visual Studio (recent versions)
