Philippines — The Philippines’ largest national flag carrier, Cebu Pacific Air (PSE:CEB) has selected K2 as the workflow and Business Process Management (BPM) platform of choice.

CEB will be employing K2 in its business travel approval (BTA) system during the first phase of its K2 implementation. Subsequent K2 deployment initiatives will include the rest of their operational expenditure approvals as well as other workflow initiatives. Such efforts will drive greater process accuracy, visibility and efficiency for its 1600-strong workforce.

CEB VP for People and Administration Michael Shau said, “We have selected K2 as our business process platform to help streamline workflow development, and improve business process efficiencies across the Cebu Pacific organization. K2 will allow us to optimize our SharePoint investments and complement our IT vision and initiatives.”

“We are proud to support Cebu Air in its quest to transform its business through IT innovation,” said Koh Weng Him, K2’s Vice President for Asia Pacific. “Cebu Air will use K2 to save time and money, bring consistency to operations, make better decisions and clear the way for innovation.”

CEB will be partnering with Thakral One for deploying K2 and for bringing in seamless solution adoption. “Thakral One has extensive experience in deploying end-to-end business solutions in the emerging markets. As a key K2 partner, Thakral One will bring to the table local infrastructure and end- to-end skill sets, along with the proven methodologies and best practices”, said Teddy Sumulong, General Manager, Thakral One Philippines.
