Founded in 1968, Dhurakij Pundit University (DPU) is one of the oldest private universities in Thailand, comprised of 20,000 students and 1,200 faculty and staff. Facing a continuous decrease in student intake over the past few years, DPU needed to adapt to a changing market and prepare for potential problems in the future. To do that, it needed to be as lean as possible, operating at a lower cost and much more efficiently. They looked to K2 for business applications that tied line-of-business systems together and boosted efficiency. During the first phase of K2 implementation, DPU picked three highly visible processes: purchase requests, budget approvals and leave applications.
Now, DPU uses K2 business apps for over 100 processes for thousands of users. It plans on focusing more individual business processes for phase two implementation, so each business unit will be able to take up the project of implementing K2 by themselves.
Benefits: Each business unit is able to take up the project of implementing K2 processes by themselves.
