Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) selected K2 blackpearl to create automated workflows for key internal processes, including travel requests, travel expenses, holidays, work absences and flexi-time requests. In the IT department, the deployment of K2 has led to considerable time savings. The team no longer wastes time recreating corrupt workflows and dealing with performance issues. “Instead, we can focus on developing new workflows that will deliver added value for the business,” Dirk Palenberg, DFG application specialist, said. “K2’s management console also gives us better insight into workflow use, which helps us improve our monitoring and maintenance activities.”

“Now that we have K2, our workflows are much more stable and users can rely on them to process their requests efficiently” — Dr. Ralf Wegner, director and head of application system management at DFG.
