Centralized workflows create efficiency
“We started talking about how there must be something out there with everything we need,” Hoani said. During LifeFlight’s search for technology to streamline processes, it ran into K2 at a Microsoft conference. The IT team was hooked after seeing a live demo, and decided that K2 was exactly what LifeFlight was looking for to “automate our processes and join the dots between our software.”
To get the buy-in from everyone else, Hoani and his team focused on LifeFlight’s emergency response center and showed the manager a K2 demo.
“Once he saw what was possible with K2, he was sold instantly,” Hoani said. “So, the first solution built was an aircraft tasking application for the LifeFlight Coordination Centre (C3). Before K2, this aviation process was manually intensive. Now, the flow of information and data capture is far faster and much smoother.”
K2’s unified aircraft tasking application automates manual, repetitive tasks that had previously been consuming valuable time and attention.
“We are scoped to build more workflows into it,” Hoani said. “It’s been very successful and people have been very excited about it.”
