Merging cross-organizational processes
Throughout the Trust, inevitable obstacles arose from the fusion of seven separate organizations, each with its own processes and systems. The challenges were particularly acute in the ICT department, which inherited over 1,000 different applications and a variety of project management approaches. When a new ICT project is planned, the project manager and the supplier are required to supply information relating to storage, infrastructure and deployment environments. This information used to be gathered in different documents and, in some cases, was duplicated.
