Strategic Alliance Manager

Duties

K2 is seeking a results-driven professional to drive our Microsoft alliance strategy and go-to-market. The Strategic Alliances Manager will own the overall alliance strategy and coordinate co-sell activities with Microsoft and other strategic partners worldwide. This will involve developing relationships at the corporate and local level to drive new customer pipeline.  

What you’ll be doing as a member of our team:
  • Build and expand relationships with Microsoft and assigned strategic alliances
  • Monitor global and local goals set by partner and K2 to increase partner product revenue performance
  • Expand sales and marketing relationships within assigned alliances to help accelerate pipeline growth and joint sales wins
  • Coordinate the support of K2 company personnel, spanning marketing, support, service, and management resources, to meet partner performance objectives and expectations
  • Manage the pipeline of new joint sales opportunities in CRM / PRM system and accelerate deal velocity through rigorous reviews
  • Maintain complete, timely and accurate partner profile, lead tracking, pipeline management and sales plan information consistent with established processes in relevant IT systems
  • Recommend, plan and lead joint partner marketing activities by leveraging such tactics as seminars, webinars, industry conferences, and creation of K2 collateral as necessary 
  • Regularly communicate updates and alliance progress reports across functional stakeholders such as global and local marketing teams, sales, and product leadership
  • Your success will be measured through Microsoft (MS) awareness of K2 solutions, Microsoft Partner of the year award application outcome, MS certifications within Company, MS-aligned key sales, Targeted account engagement and Co-Sell revenue attainment

Requirements

What you’ll bring to the table:
  • Minimum of 8 years of technology related sales or business development experience 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in partner sales or alliance management
  • Minimum 3 years of experience selling in a in a B2B software company
  • Existing relationships with Microsoft field and partner sales leaders 
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant equivalent 
  • Experience in cloud solutions  
Additional qualifications:
  • Track record of successfully generating business with new customers and alliance partners 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including presentation and ‘storytelling’ 
  • Proven relationship-building skills 
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check 
  • Ability to pass a Social Security Administration E-Verify check for U.S. work authorization
