The Sr Solution Consultant is responsible for assisting and mentoring customers in all aspects of the K2 platform. This individual works on-site with customers daily and focuses on architecting as well as installing and configuring the K2 platform in customer environments ranging from simple single server installations to distributed environments.  


  • Provides on-site assistance to customers and partners with delivery of business process automation solutions
  • Configures and develops custom solutions using .NET and SharePoint technologies that allow K2 to meet the customer’s project requirements
  • Understands customer business drivers, key use cases, and high-level business objectives
  • Tests developed solutions to ensure conformance with technical and functional requirements and ensures quality assurance
  • Interface with customers and partners on general and specific issues as well as involving other experts and/or management as necessary
  • Facilitates customer interviews and reviews including K2 engagement discovery sessions and some presales activities
  • Produces regular and detailed progress reports to management, including information which may impact target achievements or service delivery
  • Produces documentation of business process management technology implementations
  • Creates, maintains and process pertinent engagement-related communications and records
  • Deliver custom K2 product enablement for customer resources
  • Deliver K2 product training to customers
  • Installation and configuration of the K2 software in the customer’s environment(s).
  • Technical mentorship of junior consultants including technical guidance, task prioritization, and resolving technical project blockers.



  • Knowledge of user interface design
  • Knowledge of integration using industry standards (REST, OData, WCF, Web Services)
  • Knowledge of relational database design
  • Knowledge and experience of web technologies (HTML, CSS, jQuery, Ajax, JavaScript)
  • Knowledge of industry platforms (Windows Server, SQL Server, IIS, Exchange, SharePoint Online, Office 365)
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to communicate complex concepts to audiences of all levels
  • Ability to build strong internal relationships
  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Four (4) years of K2 solution development experience, with a minimum K2 Core certification. Additional certificates, a plus.
  • Eight (8) years software development experience with an emphasis on .NET coupled with a minimum of six (6) years of software solution consulting
  • .NET development skills (including C#, Web Development, WCF, Web Service, REST, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and MS SQL Server)
  • MS SharePoint experience including creating site collections, sites, libraries, and lists.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the software development life cycle
  • Minimum of three (3) years MS SQL Server experience with an emphasis on database design, development, programming (Functions, Stored Procedures, Views), T-SQL queries and commands, performance tweaking. Database maintenance (backup, restore) is a plus.
  • Building reports with Power BI and SSRS reporting tools
  • Architectural design and application development expertise including experience integrating disparate systems
  • Understanding of Agile and SCRUM methodologies
  • Understanding of process and data modelling
  • MS SQL Server experience
  • Knowledge of industry standards (REST, OData, WCF, Web Services)
  • Knowledge and experience of reporting tools such as in Power BI, SSRS, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with SOA and enterprise architecture concepts
  • Knowledge in Business Process Management, BPMN, a plus
  • Familiarity with business process improvement methods, a plus
