Sales Development Representative

Duties

Due to continued growth, K2 is looking for a Sales Development Representative to join our sales team.   We’re looking for people who love to win, have strong business and communication skills.  If you have the ambition to learn new technologies, drive sales, and deliver results, this may be the role for you.

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will report to the Director of Inside Sales and is responsible for identifying and creating new qualified opportunities for Inside Sales Representatives and Account Executives within a region or determined client-group.  This role manages the outbound campaigns of their sales region, qualifying active buying interest, and identifying critical decision makers.  The Sales Development Representative is the first voice a potential customer hears, articulating the K2 value proposition.

What you’ll be doing as a member of our team:

  • Complete minimum 75+ outbound phone calls per day
  • Discover new leads through internet research, social media monitoring/messaging and using tools such as LinkedIn Navigator, DiscoverOrg and Salesforce.com
  • Support K2’s marketing efforts by assisting in online and other marketing campaigns
  • Create and conduct effective outreach plans by leveraging marketing content, events, and programs
  • Manage prospecting status, data integrity and forecasting in SFDC
  • Achieve and exceed weekly/monthly metrics (appointments, qualified leads, new contacts etc.)
  • Conduct targeted, account-based demand generation activities with the top identified prospect accounts
  • Connect with prospects using email, phone, video, and social outreach
  • Review demand generation activities weekly
  • Display self-discipline and focus to effectively manage an intense and high-volume business
  • Demonstrate strong time management skills
  • Effectively and efficiently leverage sales tools
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • 1-year minimum experience in a sales-focused role
  • Experience in the technology industry preferred 
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent university degree or equivalent experience, is preferred    
  • Strong experience MS Office and CRM tools desired
  • Demonstrated experience with calling on and meeting with executive level individuals
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving measurable goals in a fast-paced environment
  • Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction; is self-motivated
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Extremely organized
  • Open to receiving and acting on feedback to improve results
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
