Immigration Specialist

As the US Immigration Specialist, you will be an important contributor in a global team of 7, responsible for the delivery of US immigration services at K2. This includes managing US immigration filings and the partners and vendors that support K2, to improve the experience, quality, regulatory compliance, and cost for immigration services.

What you’ll be doing as a member of our team:
  • Understand current state of system, processes, and U.S. immigration policy and regulations
  • Working with immigration experts and business partners, like Legal, external legal counsel and other vendors, to gain a deep understanding of immigration work.
  • Oversee complex immigration projects and programs, which could include H-1B cap; PERM; Blanket L program; TN; EAD; and contingency planning options for known programs and in response to new policy memos
  • Create tracking mechanisms and other dashboards that provide process timeline and status, and measure overall health of programs and cycle times
  • Educate managers and business partners on employee U.S. immigration concerns, strategies, and guidelines
  • In partnership with the US HR team and the VP, Human Resources, develop and implement Company immigration guidelines 
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition team, as needed
  • Mentor other members of the US HR team on immigration matters
  • Ensure compliance with all labor and employment laws
  • Ensure compliance with Company and HR policy, programs and infrastructure for US employees
  • Domestic travel may be requested periodically


What you’ll bring to the table:
  • 3 years minimum of US immigration experience; either within a law firm or in-house in an organization with a significant volume of immigration-supported employees or in a recruiting or HR role with heavy U.S. immigration involvement
  • 2 years minimum experience working on complex US Immigration projects   
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Experience in high-tech industry
  • Experience as a part of a global HR team
  • Proficient experience with the Microsoft Office suite
