“The fact that we can thread things from on premises up to the cloud, it really gives us more capability. And that's where the K2 Appit for SharePoint comes into play for us.” - Jason Himmelstein
This year at SPFest DC, the K2 team interviewed a handful of SharePoint MVPs and thought leaders in the space and wanted to share their thoughts on SharePoint and the future of the industry.
We’re excited to kick off the series with Jason Himmelstein, SharePoint MVP and Senior Technical Director for SharePoint at Atrion Inc.
To recap the video interview, here are some of the highlights from the interview with Jason:
Hard workers want to make their lives easier and more efficient. How do you empower users in order to truly make this technology [SharePoint] we've invested in more useful for them, and to lower their time to entry to be able to get from point A to point B so that they can fit more in their day?
Customers actually talk about workflow not in the technology perspective, but they talk about it from the standpoint of, "Here's how our work flows."
We have also seen a lot of customers primarily from banking, financial services and higher education industries that were looking for the on premises experience, and were not yet trusting of the cloud.
However, we ‘ve seen a shift in this mindset particularly since K2 allow us to take the workflows and forms which they built on premises and ultimately move it to be a hybrid solution, where some things are still living on premises, but ultimately things are really starting to move to the cloud.
The fact that we can thread things from on premises up to the cloud, it really gives us that capability. And that's where the K2 Appit for SharePoint comes into play for us.
