K2 spoke and presented this week at the Microsoft Build conference being held at The Moscone Center in San Francisco. K2’s Jonathan King, VP of Technology and Anthony Petro, Product Manager delivered a session on Wednesday where they showed how K2 has been integrated with the Microsoft Office 365 Unified API endpoints.
“K2 continues to invest in our SharePoint app and the broader Azure application infrastructure which ensures that as Microsoft introduces new capabilities, such as the Microsoft Office 365 Unified API endpoints, that we can take advantage of these immediately.” said King. “Which allows us to innovate rapidly and deliver new capabilities for our customers and partners.”
The integration with Microsoft is K2’s long running effort to work closely with the Microsoft product teams to build solutions that help customers get the most out of their technology investments. The K2 integration with the Office 365 Unified API endpoints allows customers to adapt and respond to changes within their Office 365 environments. For example, simple or advanced workflows can be assigned to user profiles and documents where they can be monitored and actioned within a K2 Worklist.
“Microsoft is pleased to be working with K2. As a longtime partner and one that has been committed to the .NET platform for many years, we see the integration of the Microsoft Office 365 Unified API endpoints as a logical step as we both move to becoming Mobile First – Cloud First companies,” said Chris Johnson, Group Product Marketing Manager at Microsoft.
In addition to showing off the new K2 Appit for SharePoint product and the flagship K2 blackpearl product, the K2 team highlighted the K2 blackpearl application accelerators – which were recently announced as a rapid deployment option for customers and partners.
And for those who may have missed it, K2 recently took on a $153 million dollar investmentfrom Francisco Partners. This investment will be utilized to extend the commitment from K2 to work with customers and partners around the globe to integrate with the products they are using to run their businesses.
In the coming months, K2 plans to announce additional integrations – stay tuned for more details via our twitter (@K2onK2) and LinkedIn accounts.
