K2 Insiders

WHO
K2 Insiders are leaders in the global K2 community. They are K2 advocates, eager to share their expertise and committed to enhancing the K2 community efforts as a whole.

K2 Insiders represent a broad base of skills, experiences and cultures. They come from a variety of backgrounds and hold a range of diverse positions. Insiders tend to seek out new technology and actively communicate their experiences and thoughts to others. Through their various K2 community activities, they strive to help others solve problems, discover new capabilities and get more value from their K2 deployments.

WHAT
The K2 Insider program primarily helps K2 build and foster a passionate and thriving community. The Insider program also serves as a vital feedback link from the community at large to the K2 sales, marketing and product organizations. This program recognizes those who stand out as strong supports of K2, the BPM and workflow ecosystem, and the power that these elements can bring to an organization.

WHY
One of K2's core goals is to establish and grow a community of individuals who regularly share their experiences, passion and feedback regarding K2 software. Insiders evangelize the power and value of the K2 platform and enable its worldwide base of customers and partners.

The K2 Insiders program:
  • seeks to identify and enable the influencers in the K2 community through a consistent plan of interaction
  • improves customer connection and satisfaction
  • recognizes customers for their work and takes feedback to improve the quality of K2 software
  • drives community and product excellence

Todd Braly
I'm a native Oklahoman. I've lived in Tulsa for the last 25 years. I'm married, have two children (13 and 16, both boys). My wife is an attorney with a firm here in Tulsa, and is also a native Oklahoman. My hobbies include: playing the guitar, listening to music, woodworking, electronics (audio, and digital), homebrewing, reading and anything that includes being in the mountains.
I've worked in IT for 16 years. The last 10-1/2 as an IT consultant with Stonebridge. My experience and expertise in consulting has been primarily in custom application development, integration and workflow. I've worked on projects in several different industries: oil and gas exploration/trading/pipeline scheduling, gas utilities, hotel management, casino management, manufacturing, telecommunication, and medical.  Oddly enough I even worked on a floral order processing application for Teleflora when I first started at Stonebridge. I've worked on various workflow-related projects over the last seven years (primarily using Tibco InConcert). I love consulting and especially love the opportunity to learn and apply new technologies.

Joseph Dunagan
ImageI’m a senior consultant with Catapult Systems, a Microsoft National Systems Integrator that also earns accolades for their work environment (the company was just named the Best Place to Work in Texas several times). In this role I’ve largely served as a K2 and SharePoint architect and developer, in addition to polishing my general BPM skills.

I began my career with application programming at seven years old piddling with basic on a Commodore VIC-20 and then moving on to computer-aided manufacturing control system development at 14. Taking a break from development, I got my foot in the door professionally as an infrastructure engineer in 1995 and rode the .com wave up to an IT directorship by 1999. The coding bug infected me again in 2000 and I launched a successful independent consulting career catering to the development and infrastructure needs of high profile clients. In 2007 I began working solely with SourceCode’s K2 division, doing K2 development consulting, technical client management and upper-tier support with their high profile customers. I’m continually involved in full lifecycle IT solutions that deliver effective infrastructure, data management, workflow and user interfaces.

Eric Eichler
Eric's primary focus is ASP.NET/C# development and most of his work typically involves some K2 components. Eric works for the K2 Partner, Guidewire Solutions based in Atlanta, GA. He has been working with K2 blackpearl since its beta days and has enjoyed watching (and participating in) its evolution into the leader in BPM on the Microsoft stack. Guidewire is a software reseller and consulting services organization focused exclusively on workflow, business process management, and enterprise content management solutions for the Microsoft platform. They partner with industry leading vendors such as K2 and Bluethread to offer their customers best of breed process driven solutions that are cost effective to buy, deploy quickly, and easily adopted by both business and technical users.

Jeremy Hancock
I am the principal consultant for Ozippy. I’m a regular public speaker, and have run numerous presentations around Australia on K2 and SharePoint related subjects to small and large audiences, including speaking in a level 400 session at Microsoft Tech Ed Australia 2010.  I love to look at how people and organisations can harness the time and energy available to achieve valuable outcomes. Dayv Leibson
I am the Business Process Automation Practice Lead for i3solutions, Inc., based in Sterling, VA, and lead the effort to support our three main areas of expertise: Portals and Collaboration, Business Process and Business Intelligence. This focus allows us to provide end-to-end solutions for clients in all verticals.

Using K2 as the primary tool for success, I have adopted agile methods to provide BPM solutions quickly, accurately and to have a high level of extensibility. With over 25 years of experience in the IT industry and 10 years of experience in business process automation, my focus is to provide integration and automation to maximize the efficiency and usability of end-user experience.

A formal Naval Officer, government employee and government contractor, I have been involved with all aspects of government and private sector IT support. I was also the chief architect on the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Licensing Support Network which resulted in a system that still supports the licensing hearings for the Yucca Mountain nuclear waste facility.

Murray Macdonald
A former K2 employee, I've been involved with K2 in all its flavours since January 2005. I'm a big fan of K2.net 2003, a bigger fan of K2 blackpearl. I've seen firsthand how K2 has changed hundreds of businesses and allowed them to be more efficient, more compliant and cut operational costs. The key to a successful BPM Application is simple: a) use K2 only for what is designed for, b) architect, plan and manage the BPM Application like you would any other Microsoft development project using accepted best practices and c) get the right people to do the job. I’m currently working with a passionate and dynamic development team at Marketform (a Lloyds Syndicate) in London, UK. I have over 10 years of Microsoft development experience, am a MCP and will kick your ass at Forza Motorsport

I've been using K2 blackpearl for approximately 2 years and I'm currently lead architect for a large online self service portal (utilising ASP.NET and K2 blackpearl).
